Old Scheme (Ship/Charge-centric):
In the old scheme, we charge on a fixed frequency, and coffee shipment dates were scheduled to match your subscription frequency. However, depending on where a roaster is located shipping times from the 1 roaster to the next can vary as much as 4 days. We found this caused inaccurate and inconsistent frequencies between the delivery dates of coffee shipments.
New Scheme (Delivery-centric):
In the new scheme, everything is driven off of delivery dates. Every time a coffee order is scheduled, the target delivery date for that order will be based on your last coffees delivery date plus your subscription frequency. By relying on good estimates for shipping times we will be shooting for regularity (true to frequency) between delivery dates for coffees while sacrificing some variability of charge date (amount of days between charges).
